About/History:
DPT's strong heritage dates back to 1938 when it began as Texas Pharmacal Company, widely recognized as the first dermatology company in the United States. After several acquisitions, Texas Pharmacal was renamed Dermatological Products of Texas in 1980.
A decade later, DFB Pharmaceuticals acquired Dermatological Products of Texas and renamed it DPT Laboratories, Ltd. This marked the beginning of a new era as our focus expanded into providing comprehensive pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services for highly regulated products.
Today, we are well-known in the industry for our unique capabilities, reputation for quality and expertise in sterile and non-sterile semi-solid and liquid dosage forms. With operations in both San Antonio, Texas, and Lakewood, New Jersey, we have the resources and capacity to efficiently serve your pharmaceutical development and manufacturing needs.

Medical and Dental Insurance
Our medical and dental insurance is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) that offers coverage to employees and eligible dependents effective the first day of employment.
Disability Insurance
DPT offers short-term and long-term disability coverage for all regular employees effective the first day of employment. Disability insurance provides a percentage of base salary in the event the employee becomes sick or disabled and unable to work. This source of income will help the employee meet their financial needs while taking care of their illness.
Life Insurance
The loss of life involves grieving of a loved one and taking care of financial needs. To assist with the family’s financial needs, we offer life coverage to all regular employees effective the first day of employment. DPT also offers additional voluntary coverage for eligible dependents at competitive rates.
Holidays
Ten paid holidays are recognized each calendar year and employees are eligible effective the first day of employment.
Vacation
DPT provides vacation to all regular employees for rest, relaxation and personal pursuits.
401(k) Retirement Plan
To assist in planning for your future and retirement living, we offer a comprehensive plan for all regular employees to choose from. Employees may choose to contribute a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis into a retirement/savings plan to invest in a variety of professionally managed funds offered through the plan.
Educational Assistance
DPT provides tuition assistance to encourage employees to acquire knowledge that would help them in the performance of their present jobs and/or train them for advancement within the organization.
529 College Saving Plan
This plan allows you to assist in paying higher education costs for children, grandchildren or any other person you would like to help. DPT offers an automatic payroll deduction for employees to contribute money to a 529 college savings plan.
